TWISTED BIRDY BOWL

Mixed media with found object

Multiple wires were twisted into coils to form a core. Another wire was used to crochet around the core wires to form the bowl. The handles were shaped using more of the twisted core and sewn together with monofilament thread.  The base (found object) serves as a structure to hold the bowl and as a frame to decorate with crocheted tubes of wire.
